Aging research continues to expand globally and occurs across several of our member universities. With an increasingly older global population, the Age-Friendly University Global Network is committed to better understanding these demographic changes' societal and academic implications. One of the core principles of the AFU Global Network is "To ensure that the universities' research agendas are informed by the needs of an aging society and to promote public discourse on how higher education can better respond to the varied interests and needs of older adults". In joining the AFU Global Network and creating informed research agendas, our members commit to improving older people's lives and the wider society.
