The Age-Friendly University Global Network is proud to offer the Endorsement Mentorship Program. This collaborative initiative connects institutions seeking to become an Age-Friendly University with experienced member institutes. Whether you are just getting started or refining your application, the mentorship program provides the guidance, resources, and support you need to confidently move forward.

What the Program Offers

One-on-one mentorship from experienced AFU institutions
Tailored guidance to meet your institution’s goals and context
Access to examples, templates, and strategies that have worked for others
Collaborative conversations around implementing AFU principles

How It Works
Institutions can request a mentor through the program and will be matched with a member institute that has successfully navigated the AFU endorsement process. Once paired, partners meet virtually to discuss goals, challenges, and next steps tailored to the mentee’s unique context. The mentorship is designed to be flexible and non-prescriptive, allowing the relationship to continue for as long as it’s helpful and mutually beneficial.
